OUROBOROS is a product line by Maruhachi Kasei, a plastics maker in Aichi, Japan. OBORO is the glow-in-the-dark version.
Features
Glow that will not peel off - the luminous pigment is mixed into the resin, not painted on. It charges under sunlight, fluorescent light and LED light.
How it glows - after about 1 hour of light, it glows brightest at first and is still faintly glowing 60 minutes later (manufacturer test). You can recharge it any number of times.
Grips thick items - the jaw opens 10 mm or more. Clip it to gloves, caps, towels, or tent and tarp fabric.
Load capacity: 25 kg (manufacturer figure; varies with use). Strong enough to hang a lantern or cookware. In the maker test video, it lifts a 25 kg dumbbell.
One-hand attach and release
Recycled material - made from 100% recycled luminous polycarbonate, reclaimed from molding offcuts.
Great for
Marking your gear at a campsite at night. Clip it to an emergency kit or flashlight so you can find it in a power outage. A visible marker on your bag or waist for night walks and runs.
